🇵🇭 Bohol.

Six of us, five nights, one island. We landed in Panglao late on a Friday and gave ourselves the time to do Bohol properly: scooters around Panglao, island hopping off Alona, and the countryside run to the Chocolate Hills and the tarsiers. Here's the real itinerary we followed and the honest gastos, birthday splurges and all, so you can plan yours.

Suggestions

Ideas we might add.

The plan above is what we did. These are extras worth adding, and a few things worth knowing. Prices are approximate, so confirm on the ground.

If we want more

Easy add-ons around the plan, especially on the rest day.

  • Dauis ChurchFree

A 17th-century church with painted ceilings and a miraculous well, right by Hinagdanan on the motor day.

    Source
  • Bohol Bee Farm dinnerPay per order

Come back for a cliffside sunset dinner and the famous organic ice cream.

  • Firefly river tour~₱400/head

An evening boat on the Abatan or Loboc river to watch fireflies, if we want a night activity.

Good to know

  • Bring aqua shoes for island hoppingIsland hopping

Sheilla's tip: the anti-coral aqua shoes are not in the package. Rentable on-site, but cheaper to buy your own on Shopee and reuse.

  • The countryside tour is transport-onlyBring cash

The van and driver are covered; entrance fees and meals are pay-as-you-go, so carry enough cash.

  • Getting aroundTip

Motorbikes (₱300/day) for Panglao, Sheilla's boat for island hopping, and Sanchez MJ's van for the countryside. Grab and Maxim in Bohol are thin and mostly motorcycle.

    Source
  • Airport is on Panglao~₱200 to 800

The airport sits on Panglao, so the transfer to and from Alona is short.
